Xylitol is extracted from birch –known as birch sugar –it’s a great alternative to ordinary sugar. It is used in the food industry for sweetening as a food additive, mainly chewing gum and candy.

How to use: A maximum intake of 10 teaspoons (25 g) per day is recommended. Xylitol should be incorporated into the daily diet gradually, starting with half teaspoon a day. Excessive consumption may have a laxative effect. Should not be given to children 3 rd year of life.
