Miconazole combined antifungal activity against dermatophytes and yeasts with the antibacterial against Gram-positive bacteria. Miconazole inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol in the fungal cell wall, which leads to breakage and ultimately to the death of the fungal cell. Miconazole is also effective in the treatment of fungal infections superinfected with bacteria. Miconazole very quickly eliminates itching, often accompanying infections caused by dermatophytes and yeasts. Itching subsides before the appearance of the first signs of recovery. Miconazole after the application of external does not affect the blood count.

1 g of powder contains 20 mg of miconazole nitrate.

Excipients: zinc oxide, colloidal anhydrous silica, talc.


Daktarin therapeutic drug powder is applied to the affected areas of the skin, usually 2 times a day.

When Daktarin powdered medicament is administered concurrently with the drug Daktarin cream it is recommended to use both forms of the drug once daily.

Daktarin preventive medicinal powder is applied once a day inside shoes and socks.

The duration of treatment is from 2 to 6 weeks depending on the location and severity of lesions.

After the disappearance of all symptoms and lesions, the treatment should be continued for at least 1 week.
